What Caregress is
Caregress is a California discovery platform for licensed residential care facilities for the elderly. We combine public licensing data with facility-managed profile enhancements so visitors can browse clearly, compare neutrally, and contact facilities directly.
Our role
Caregress is designed to help families, discharge planners, and other visitors find licensed RCFE facilities in California through a clear, structured directory experience.
We are a discovery platform, not a referral agency, placement agency, ranking service, or recommendation engine.
How listings work
Caregress listings may include different content sources. We label them clearly so visitors can understand where information comes from.
- State-derived: public licensing information sourced from California public data.
- Operator-managed: profile content managed by a facility or its authorized operator through Caregress.
- Facility-provided photos: photos supplied by the facility or its authorized representative.
- Public feedback: listing issue reports submitted by visitors to help improve listing accuracy.
Who Caregress is for
Caregress is built for people who need a direct, neutral way to browse and compare licensed facilities, and for facility operators who want a clearer, more complete public profile.
Families and professionals can review public licensing data and contact facilities directly. Facility operators can claim their profiles and publish richer profile information through a subscription.
What Caregress does not do
- We do not recommend or rank facilities.
- We do not place residents.
- We do not guarantee that a facility is a fit for any person.
- We do not replace direct conversations with facilities, legal counsel, medical advice, or care planning.
Accuracy and corrections
Public licensing data can change, and operator-managed content can be updated over time. Caregress works to keep listings current, but we do not guarantee absolute completeness or accuracy.
Visitors can report factual listing issues through facility profile pages, and we review those reports through an internal moderation process.
